How do you describe the indescribable? If all the seas turned ink, all the plant to writing tools, and all the sky to parchment, it would not be enough to describe God's vastness. That's the God I serve.
If you're interested in learning more about God, you can leave a message here, you could go to this site and leave a message or you can read on.
God loves you (John 3:16).
God is holy and just. He punishes all evil and expels it from his presence (Romans 1:18).
God, who created everything, made us for himself to find our purpose in fellowship with him (Colossians 1:16).
But we rebelled and turned away from God (Isaiah 53:6) The result is separation from God (Isaiah 59:2). The penalty is eternal death (Romans 6:23).
God became human in the person of Jesus Christ to restore the broken fellowship (Colossians 1:19-20). Christ lived a perfect life (1 Peter 2:22).
Christ died as a substitute for us by paying the death penalty for our rebellion (Romans 5:8). He arose (1 Corinthians 15:3-4) and is alive today to give us a new life of fellowship with God, now and forever (John 10:10).
I must repent for my rebellion (Matthew 4:17).
I must believe Christ died to provide forgiveness and a new life of fellowship with God (John 1:12)
I must receive Christ as my Savior and Lord with the intent to obey him. I do this in prayer by inviting him into my life (Revelation 3:20).
There is no cost to your salvation comes to you freely (Ephesians 2:8-9).
But it comes at a high cost to God (1 Peter 1:18-19).
Ultimately your response is a life of discipleship (Luke 9:23-24).

As my birthday swiftly approaches, I am forced to look back on my past year of failure after failure. This past year has not been one the happiest I've ever had. ( but then again, happiness is relative. )
The only thing that gives me hope looking back on the past is what little successes I had, actually counted for a lot. I may have failed time and time again, but my success rate outnumbers my failures.
As long as you keep trying in the name of God, you will have more success than failure. If you never try, you don't have a choice but to fail. ( Thank you Lord for putting up with my failures and always being there for me. )
Looking back always lets you reflect on things that you need to improve on. Myself, I am always too judgmental, ( whose place is it to judge but the High Judge Himself? ) and self-centered.
I know that this seems weird that I think of these things now instead of at New Years, ( where people often make 'New Years resolutions' ) but I always think of New Years of just another day. Your birthday, though, symbolizes another year that you have spent on Earth.

This post comes from Jen... a fellow poster at the forum created by me ( Megiddo )
Thanks for letting me use this Jen!
This post is on the topic of dating:
" Do not be yoked together with unbelievers. For what do righteousness and wickedness have in common? Or what fellowship can light have with darkness?...What does a believer have in common with an unbeliever? What agreement is there between the temple of God and idols? For as we are the temple of the living God. As God has said: "I will live with them and walk among them, an I will be their God, and they will be my people."
"Therefore come out from them and be separate, says the Lord. Touch no unclean thing, and I will receive you."
This is 2 Corinthians 14-17... and it is very clear how God sees our relationships.
We are to be yoked to believers, so that we may spur each other on to faith. To enter a relationship with an unbeliever (that is anyone who does not confess Jesus as Lord of their life) is to disobey the word of God.
As well, another side point: as Christians we are not to 'date' but rather to court. To date, is to prepare for a breakup, which in the equivalent to divorce in marriage. God does not support divorce but He supports unity. Courtship and dating are similar, but here is the key difference: Courtship is 'dating' with the intention of being married. It is a relationship that is entered into where both parties know that the relationship will head to marriage, and it has been brought before God in prayer. In relationships we are to bring it up before God, and seek His will in all situations. Dating can be a part of courtship, but dating without commitment can be dangerous. We need to not get into relationships unless God is the focus and the center. A question to ask yourself before getting into a relationship is 'why'? God has everything we need, anything that we may seek in a relationship God has for us, and if we obey His timing and His will things will be a lot better than if we make our own decisions. Leave it to God, He does good for the sake of those who love Him... so TRUST HIM.
The main point is, both people in a relationship must be in a similar place with God. The best way to know if someone knows God, and lives for God, is by the fruit in their life. "The fruit of the spirit is Love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control." (Galatians 5.22-23) Do they live with Love? do they have joy? are they patient? are they faithful? are they gentle? do they have self-control?
Relationships are meant to bring both parties closer to God and closer to each other. Before entering a relationship, both parties must be in good relationship with God, and then they can move closer to each other as they both move closer to God. They must be able to be independant, yet dependant. Think of a triangle. The top of the triangle being God, the bottom left being you, and the bottom right being a potential spouse. As the relationship between each of you gets closer to God (the top), the relationship between you two gets closer as well. This is how God created relationships to be. However, if you instead move closer to the other person, and not closer to God, you do not advance and there is no growth. You stay where you are, and God is the 'outsider'. This is not His will.
So, in summary:
When considering a relationship, think 'would I consider spending the rest of my life with this person?' and pray to God for revelation of His will. Wait on God. Wait and listen. He will speak to you. Also consider 'why am I wanting to be involved with someone?" and if it is something like 'loneliness' or 'something to do' or 'everyone else is' then I suggest bringing that to God. He knows what you need, and He knows the desires of your heart. The bible says that God knows all we want and need and if we submit to His will then He will bless us with the desires of our hearts. We have to humble ourselves and submit our will to God.
God is our best friend. He desires relationship with us. He will never leave us nor forsake us, so there is no reason to go looking to imperfect humans to fulfill things that only God can.
Hopefully this makes sense to you guys.

We all have goals so here's what we should do.
We all need a PLAN OF ACTION!!!
Let's make our dreams come true
We have to BELIEVE IN OURSELVES!!!
There's nothing we can't do
Put your HEART IN IT!!!
Even when you're in a dark failure pit
Just THINK of what you WANT!!!
somehow, someway, anywhere it'll hit
Your DREAMS will come TRUE!!!
There's nothing we can't do
Plant a tree, paint a house
Babysit, rasie a mouse
TRY your HARDEST!!!
You will succeed
And your dreams will come true...
there's nothing you can't do
The glass is half empty
the glass is half full
sometimes your lonely
or feeling at half hull
put in your emotions
your will and your drive
soon you will see
that you come alive
dont give up hope
when you feel like stopping
dont pull the rope
smile and start hopping
make your friends laugh
feel like you're happy
even when your blue
then you will see
that your dreams will come true
never give up your joy or your pride
no one can love you, hug you, learn from you
when you hide
Please don't copy it as I wrote it. yay. Love y'all... remember to BE HAPPY! (Your dreams can come true... theres nothing we can't do)

Meditation ( I'm going to stop numbering these )
"In my distress I called to the LORD ,
and he answered me.
From the depths of the grave I called for help,
and you listened to my cry."

Wouldn't it be cool if when we woke up in the morning, we'd have the attitude of: “I'm ready my Lord, what are we going to do today?”

Everyone has their own way of connecting with God. Some of the most common ways that people connect with God are: praying, singing, reflecting, church, reading your Bible, and writing about Him.
Personally, I get the best spiritual high by writing and reflecting. But, everyone's way of connecting with God differs, it just depends on the person.
If you'd like to share your way of connecting, feel welcome to.

If you love those who love you, what credit is that to you? Even 'sinners' love those who love them.

Have you ever wondered if you're really a Christian? This question plagued me for years. I was told I was saved at age 5 ( though I didn't remember it ), but I never knew for certian that I was going to heaven.
I was always haunted by these words, 'You know without a doubt when you are saved. If you cannot answer when asked if you are saved, it is like not being able to answer when asked if you are married.'
Luckily, I've gone to a Bible camp every summer. I always came out of it changed for the better, but I never had an answer to my question.
Finally, this last summer, my counselor said this, ( probably not even realizing how much I needed it ) 'Salvation is not
a feeling. Satan can trick you into thinking that you are not saved.' I thought about this more and more, thinking that it does sound like a trick the Devil would play. It would keep a Christian in a constant doubt, and therefore more depressed ( not what God wants ).
So how do you know wether other people are Christians? What is their lifestyle like? This is not always the best way to tell, though. ( i.e. they could be a new, struggling Christian, or going through a 'down' time ) Another way to tell is, does he/she let other people know that he/she is a Christian? ( though this also doesn't always work, many claim to be Christians that are not, for even demon worshippers wear crosses. )
say that you are a Christian, but do not live like one, then you are not living for God. God does not want Christians who shove their light under a bowl so that no one can see their light ( What passage was that? ). John 3 reads:
19This is the verdict: Light has come into the world, but men loved darkness instead of light because their deeds were evil. 20Everyone who does evil hates the light, and will not come into the light for fear that his deeds will be exposed. 21But whoever lives by the truth comes into the light, so that it may be seen plainly that what he has done has been done through God."
And there I leave you.
